Muslim in Edinburgh

I came across a Pakistan man while I was searching for a story. Surprised that he offered to show me the biggest Mosque in Edinburgh. More surprised he ushered me into the hall where women are forbiden. Even more so when he said I could come on Friday to photograph him praying — Probably positioned at a corner like this evening. That would still be wonderful. I love their the atmosphere there, very spiritual. Love the praying “songs.”

window

Simply by looking at the windows, you can tell the Scots are quite different from Americans or Chinese. Got invited into a lady’s house in Dunbar last Thursday. Love her windows. Her windows are a window for me to peek into her life, or her attitude about life: She cares. Not only are her windows neat, she cares about her own look. “If I don’t wear make-up, I feel naked,” she told me. She has four different wigs, too. This 83-year-old lady also feels very good about herself. “If I want, I could have an affair,” she confided to me while complaining about living alone after her husband moved to a nursing home in another town last October.
