Good morning, tortoise 乌龟,早上好

I started roaming around a burnt ranch 15 miles east of Snyder, TX around sunrise. It was eerie and strangely beautiful. It was almost too quiet until a tortoise shrunk its head under its shell. But I know it was staring at me, wondering what I was doing there at this time of the day. It stretched its head out a bit from time to time. It was as curious about me as I was about it. But it seemed more confused. A minute later, I found another one!
